Happy Thanksgiving!

Wow where has this year gone? It feels like I blinked my eyes and now the year is almost over.  This year we went to my parents house to eat. Needless to say we became every full with all the food. Turkey, green beans casserole, gravy, stuffing, coleslaw, some cherry pudding thing, broccoli and rice casserole, sweet potatoes, mashed potatoes, and rolls.  And this was just for 10 people! After everyone ate and the girls cleaned up the kitchen while the guys went to watch TV, why does that always happened that the men leave when its time to clean up? The 4 grandkids put the ornaments on grandma and grandpa’s Christmas tree. Katey this year learned how to play spoons. For those of you who have never played the game you are missing out on  a lot of fun. The object of the game is to collect 4 matching cars (all 4’s or K”s)  When you have 4 matching cards you grab a spoon that is sitting in the middle. Since you have one less spoon than the number of people playing. For direction click here. Well since she was sitting next to grandma and just learning she was at first getting help but when she caught on she and grandma began to cheat by helping each other to win. At one point grandpa tried to cheat by keeping a card from the previous hand but he still lost. It was so much fun watching her learn how to play the game and watching her win. Needless to say I really think this is something that we will be playing at the get together’s   from now.

Also our elf is back! The kids love trying to find “elfie” everyday. I love being able to say “remember elfie is watching” and that normally gets some better behavior out of the kids

i am here i am here

Hey everyone just wanted to let you all know that I am still here and alive! I have been lazy about posting blogs. Not really sure how some of you can post every day if not twice a day all the time.  I have tons of pictures to share and stories. I just need to get better at setting a time to blog and stick to it. I will take any ideas/suggestions on how to do that  :)  Now I must go and cook these kids some lunch before they wither away to skin and bones.
